Software, woven to last.

We design and build products, platforms and AI systems for companies that intend to last, with the patience of a weaver and the precision of an engineer.

01Origin

Computing was born on a loom.

The first machine to follow a program wove silk. We think that's the right lineage for a software company from the city of looms.

tānā · ताना · તાણો

noun · Hindi, Gujarati

The warp: threads set first on a loom and held under tension. Hidden in the finished cloth, they hold every pattern together. Tanaloom is the loom that sets them right.

  1. 1804

    A loom learns to read

Joseph-Marie Jacquard patents a loom controlled by chains of punched cards. Each hole lifts a thread.

  2. 1837

    The cards meet mathematics

Charles Babbage designs the Analytical Engine and borrows Jacquard's cards to program it.

  3. 1843

    Weaving algebra

Ada Lovelace writes that the Engine “weaves algebraical patterns just as the Jacquard-loom weaves flowers and leaves.”

  4. 1890

    Cards count a nation

Herman Hollerith's punched-card machines tabulate the US census: the start of data processing.

  5. Today

Back to the city of looms

Ahmedabad once wove cloth for the world. We weave software here, the same way: warp first, with care.

02Services

Seven threads. One cloth.

Most projects weave several of these together. What holds them in tension is the architecture underneath.

03Products

From our own loom. Proof we ship.

We don't only build for clients. We design, ship and run our own products. Salvio is the first.

Salvio

The all-in-one platform to run, manage and grow a salon business, built for Indian salon owners.

Salvio replaces paper registers and WhatsApp spreadsheets with one system for billing, stylist commissions, attendance and analytics, from a single chair to a multi-salon chain.

  • Smart billing

Digital receipts delivered on WhatsApp, with commissions calculated as the bill is made.

  • Commission autopilot

Custom payout rules per stylist and per service. No more month-end arithmetic.

  • Multi-salon

Every location in one dashboard, with shared client history.

  • QR attendance

Geofenced check-ins that prove who was on the floor, with no hardware to buy.

  • Team portal

Staff see their own schedules and earnings, so owners field fewer questions.

  • Analytics

Revenue, services, busy hours and staff performance in 10+ reports.

04Your cloth

Every name weaves its own cloth.

Salvio has its cloth. So does every project we take on. Type a name and watch the loom turn it into a weave: structure, dyes and all.

05Process

Five motions of the loom. Five phases of every project.

A hand loom has worked the same way for thousands of years, because every motion has a job. So does every phase of ours.

  1. 01 · Let-off

    Discover & Architect

The warp is released and set under even tension.

You get → Problem map, architecture, estimate

  2. 02 · Shedding

    Shape & Design

Chosen warp threads are lifted to open a path.

You get → Scope, UX/UI, clickable prototype

  3. 03 · Picking

    Build in passes

The shuttle carries the weft across, pass after pass.

You get → 1 to 2 week sprints, weekly demos

  4. 04 · Beating-up

    Harden

The reed packs each new thread tight against the cloth.

You get → QA automation, security, performance

  5. 05 · Take-up

    Launch & Evolve

Finished cloth rolls forward onto the beam.

You get → Release, monitoring, care plan

How we weave, in detail

06Principles

The Weaver’s Code.

Five rules we hold ourselves to: in proposals, in code review and in hiring.

  1. 1

    Set the warp first

Architecture comes before features. The strong threads you never see are the ones holding every pattern together.

  2. 2

    Every thread accounted for

You see every commit, every decision and every hour. No black boxes, no surprise invoices.

  3. 3

    Mind the selvedge

Cloth unravels at its edges, and so does software. Edge cases, failure states, accessibility and security are designed up front, not patched later.

  4. 4

    Tension is a feature

Budgets for performance, cost and scope aren't obstacles. Held at the right tension, they make the work stronger.

  5. 5

    Weave to last

Readable code, real documentation and a clean handover. We build for the team that comes after us, even when that team is you.
